This journey through fairytales has been a fun one. Beauty is one of my favorite characters. I admire her ability to see the character within others.

Awww. I need this made to a movie now. Harry and Harry were lovely and their journey toward one another was filled with sparks, hesitation, doubt, and affection. I felt the most connected to Harry (aka Harrison) as being a kind of easily stressed out person but always a dreamer.

Frankly I am not sure what even happened. It was extremely hard to follow. It was part of a buddy read. That is the only reason I didn't bail.

Throughout this Austen journey, I think this is the one I have enjoyed the most. I just have Sense & Sensibility and Persuasion left. Darcy and Elizabeth grew so much in the pages. The theme is pride and prejudice were shown in a variety of different ways yet still feels relevant today. The private conversation between Darcy and Elizabeth are enough to make you swoon.

I was so happy to get some closer in this seven book series. A secret, a shattered identity, a deep loss, a loss of way all being healed by the power of love.

Lore...a total bada** flawed gal that you can't help but fall in love with from page one. To pull the guilt of her past behind her like a boulder while trying to navigate her present was intense to wade through. To not truly know herself therefore not be able to trust herself and her choices was heartbreaking to witness. To long for the love of family yet not see it's around her. To in operate in a world where what she believed isn't quite the truth. Pushed to the limits of her mental and physical self reaching for something she isn't quite sure is there. This was a thrilling, twisting adventure where you aren't quite sure where you are going. You see the breadcrumb clues but fail to see the bigger picture (until the last few chapters). A supersonic jet that just drops you on the last page breathless, exhilarated and wanting more.

Honestly in the beginning Gen aggravated me. She was a naive teenager who really didn't pay attention to the world around her especially when everyone warned war was coming. Put in incredibly challenging situations, Gen changes into this caring person who put others first.

This may be my favorite Blackthorne yet. A man devotes to his family. A woman who longs for family/love. Mix in scandal, intrigue, buried secrets, potential to crumble family foundation.
