Okay, I liked this one a lot more than I was anticipating! The synopsis didn't necessarily feel like something I'd love, but alas, I did love it! Shay and Noah were destined to be together and I just loved how the second-chance romance trope was executed in this. As a soon-to-be teacher, I loved Shay's teaching perspective and how she tutored Gennie. Speaking of Gennie, what an absolute HOOT! I loved that little girl so much! The steam was also *incredible*! This one was almost a five-star read for me, but it fell short because of Shay's indecisiveness on letting Noah love her... ma'am, he's been in love with you since high school, just let him IN!!! Overall I really loved all the characters and enjoyed the storyline so much! Highly recommend this one :) -- Available on KU!
Nothing like a cute, cheesy, football romance! This one was super cute! This one has fake dating which is one of my favorite romance tropes, so of course I was bound to like it! As a former dancer, I loved the ballet content, and Nathan's love for Bree was so adorable! This didn't hit five stars for me because of the miscommunication trope (my god people just TALK!) and when they finally got together, there were some... cringy things? If you've read this, then you probably know what I'm talking about, but some of it just seemed unnecessary. Keep in mind that this is a non-spicy romance-- the only steam you get is a few kisses and an almost-strip-tease. Overall I recommend if you're looking for a quick, non-spicy, sports romance :)
Um... anyone know where I can find me a Ryan Shay? I devoured this one, y'all! I really fell in love with Ryan in the first book, so I really enjoyed reading about his own romance! This book had two of my favorite tropes: fake dating and forced proximity! Both of which were executed PERFECTLY! The banter, pining, and steam (🥵) were absolutely divine. Just like the first book, I loved all the side characters and the plot was so fun! And the epilogue had me kicking my lil feet and giggling. I seriously have no complaints about this one and LOVED it! One of my favorites of the year for sure! Go read it NOW-- available on KU!
Oh Win and Bo 🥺 I loved this one! Which is surprising given the main trope is accidental pregnancy, which usually is one of my least favorite tropes. But it was executed SO WELL! Bo is quite literally sunshine in human form and Win is such a relatable character. This is just one of those books where I was giggling and kicking my feet the whole time. Also loved all the side characters!! Win's indecisiveness regarding whether to just love Bo or be platonic was the main reason this didn't get a full 5⭐️, cuz like... girl you're very obviously in love with this man JUST TELL HIM!! Definitely recommend this one, even if you're not an accidental pregnancy lover-- I promise it's worth it!
I absolutely adored this one! This one has me thinking that soulmates really *do* exist (lol). I loved the dual timeline and how we get to watch Percy and Same grow up and grow into who they are today. Sam's love for Percy is seriously the cutest thing. The spiciness is definitely laid back, but I don't mind because steam isn't a major factor in this storyline. This book was almost a perfect 5star read for me, until towards the end when my least favorite trope showed up. I knew it was coming, and had predicted it early on, but it still happened and I was quite upset lol. The ending and epilogue made up for it though! I definitely recommend this one :)
Note: I received this copy free from the author a couple years ago. However, this is not reflected in my review and all thoughts and opinions are mine!
This was a beautiful collection of poems Maggie has written as an endo warrior. Maggie’s poems address difficult topics that are sadly a universal experience for chronically ill folks— such as pain, ableism, medical trauma, loss, and grief. This truly made me feel seen and I tabbed close to 30 poems to save for later validation. Maggie is a remarkable poetry writer!
