Ok.
This is my first Patricia Cornwell/Kay Scarpetta book, I really enjoy mistery novels with police and forensic stuff on them, so I'm familiar on how this books usually develop and the things you should pay attention to.
First of all, the title, it misleads the new reader because the Body Farm is only mentiones in 1 chapter and its not -relevant- much,at the point of the story I already knew what was coming and who the killer was.
The niece plot was draining for me, as a first introduction to Lucy's character, well I didn't like her, and her whole 'being a lesbian' thing (Kay assumes this just by watching her smoke with another woman) and there's no other indication so we have to just accept it by Kay's thoughts.
The Marino plot was weak, we don't get a sense of why is he this way, and what lead to it, maybe if read the previous books will make sense?
Then all the end happens so quickly, I have to read it twice to confirm that was it. Idk didn't have an minimum impact, the killer don't get to confess, we just know she is guilty for the reasons, motive and the wat Kay told us and nothing else...
Kay by the way, is more a detective than a forensic doctor/lawyer on this one as she reveals and gets everything right by her own, no need the police at all, as they all seem incompetent compared to Scarpetta's inmense knowledge of well... everything (when she needs to know).

Yeah, I almost dropped this one half through but I can't let a book unfinished so...
