i finished this last night and fell asleep while deciding what to rate this book. i can see why other people like this collection of short stories, but personally, it fell flat for me. out of the nine short stories featured, i only liked two of them. despite the nostalgic writing in this book, i wasn't particularly connected to any of these stories - but the premise of some of these stories were interesting. if you didn't like 'our wives under the sea' (i was on the fence about it), i don't think you would like this one either.
