I could not get fully in to this book. The premise is intriguing, however the author has a habit of writing paragraph-length sentences and using plenty of platitudes through the character of Aunt Jane May. I felt the method the author uses to fill in character background is very distracting to plot movement. I struggled to finish the book, as I felt no desire to learn more about the characters or what would happen to them, and I was frustrated by the writing style.
