I must say...this was my third Kristin Hannah in a row! I have listened to all three on audio book and will now move onto a fourth! These stories are incredibly well-planned out and I truly care about her characters. If you haven't read any yet, do yourself a favor and get started! Bam - I have another new favorite author!

The Nightingale was the first book I read by Kristin Hannah, and this was the second. This audio book on cd, on a fluke, was handed to me by my librarian when I said that I needed a new audio book for my time in the car. I am now thoroughly convinced that I need to go back and read all of her previous books, and I found 2 on cd for the car when I returned this one. I feel so connected with these characters, who came to feel like friends, and with the vivid landscape details that were described - the mark of a true word artist!
