another book that has sat on my shelves for a little too long. This romance was such a delight to read. It has a then-now timeline and is a second-chance romance. When exes who haven’t spoken in years end up on a road trip together to their mutual best friend’s wedding things don’t go exactly to plan.

this was such a fun book to listen to and personally, I found 1.5x the perfect speed for this book! Think of The Devil Wears Prada but instead of the editor of Vogue our “devil” is a massive influencer star. This book is a peek behind the curtain and let me tell you it’s not all sunshine and rainbows behind it.

the first Literary League book club pick for the month was maybe my favorite book of January! I don’t want to give too much away but this book is set in the year 2050 and the world is ending. It won’t be safe to live on earth so a project begins called The Inside Project that is exactly like it sounds. Massive structures for people to live inside as the world burns. But who and why you are selected seems to be a mystery. I referred to this as The Handmaid’s Tale but Girl Boss edition.

I am not going to lie, this book took me a little over a month to read. But I loved every second of it! I listened to this book on Audible and found it to be entertaining and informative. This book is all about parking and the impact it has on you and our communities. It’s easy to just not think about parking, even though it’s something you likely do or are impacted by every day. After reading this book I was ready to get rid of my car and start learning more about how other cities and communities are set up with pedestrians the focus and not the car you park.

this book was a random TikTok purchase that sat on my shelves for MONTHS and I wish it hadn’t! A modern romance told unlike anything else out there. This story is one about love, mental health, and medication. I was engrossed the entire time and highly recommend you read the acknowledgments section as well.

this is a series of short, strange, stories about people in a neighborhood where things are never quite as they seem. This book was a fun little read and I enjoyed myself. Picked this book up from the customer recommendation shelves at Powells Books. If you loved Bliss Montage then you should read this book.

I purchased both the audio and physical copy of this book because it is truly that delightful! This millennial memoir is such a treat to read and for anyone who grew up in the early 2000s, it’s a walk to memory road. I think this book would make a great gift for your millennial BFF.

Rachel Hawkins seriously never disappoints! This thriller was unputdownable and the audio is super engaging. Multiple voice actors are switching from different POVs. It was easy to keep track of who everyone was and I kept finding reasons to keep listening (even doing extra chores). If you are looking for a quick entertaining, well-paced thriller pick this up!

this book was pitched to me as a heartbreaking romance about a man who turns into a great white shark. It was an instant yes from me! This book is heartbreaking and hopeful and for those of you who like a little weird sprinkled into your books, I recommend picking this one up!

I have been hearing about this series for a while (actually almost exactly a year) and while at a bookstore opening, I picked up books one and two! I was sold on this book when someone described it as Chuck and Blair from Gossip Girl but in London and everyone is in their 20s. If you aren’t already sold, then just know after finishing this book I immediately picked up book two and fell even MORE in love with the series.
