I  really loved this short story!! If you’re looking for something quick and easy to read but so beautifully written then this is for you. I do Wish it was much longer!! Like she could’ve written four books with the amount of information we got. :) loved it

Oh my god. I can't believe the stars on this book are over 1.... yeah the ending of the book was fine. I didn't hate it but was expecting more but the short stories are horrible. Disgusting even. There is a very graphic rape scene involving the two main characters and Lan Zhan is the one who rapes Wei..... this is agasint everything that Lan Zhan stands for and is SO out of character it is actually so revolting. I am so upset that Mo Xiang Tong Xiu built up Lan Zhan for FOUR WHOLE BOOKS just to throw away it?? Oh it makes me so mad. The rest was eh. Please do not read the short stories just quit when it says end of book.

I think this is my favorite in the series so far. I really just have to say that Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's world building is so good and was super happy with how she devloped the characters that we have heard about. Things are starting to make sense! I will say again for the third time that the dubious consent is not a theme I like in a book about lovers. The tub scene at the end made me very uncomfortable and I don't understand how I am supposed to like what is happening when even the main character knows hes doing something wrong.... that is why it is a 3.

I thoughly enjoyed this book! I really liked learning more things about Wei and Jiang's relationship. It is so complicated and I love how complex her characters are. I did not like the non consent AGAIN in this book. I do not like the theme that this is following and I just wish that these parts did not happen. Other than that it was a solid read.

The second book of this wonderful love story is a solid one. I really loved the side story xiao xingchen and song lan. I think everything in this book is very important to Wei's and Lan's love story. Although I really dont like the dubious consent aspect it makes me quite uncomfortable and I simply skipped over it. Im excited to see what other things transpire in the next book.

I recently have watched the show The Untamed I loved it and thought a good idea to read the books. I was correct! Some of the grammar is a little off but it’s nothing crazy. I really do love the way Mo Xiang writes she makes amazingly lovable characters and the love between them is so pretty. Super excited to see what details I’ll get that we not in the show.

I think out off all the throne of glass books I’ve read this book has the best pacing so far. It is slow i will tell you and it took a while for me to get through. The character development in the main character was great and I’m excited to see where this goes. :)

I think this book was good! A solid one from Sarah it was just a little slow for me. I think also for me hearing the main character do the same thing over and over again is a little frustrating. (Her not owning up to her past) I like the way the series is going though.

I thought the pacing for this book was very odd. The beginning felt rushed the middle felt slow and the ending also felt rushed to me. The verbiage also is a little confusing to me. Sometimes they would speak very olden times and then they would switch up and say something like modern times. I did thoroughly enjoy this book! And i think It did a good job at portraying, self hatred and love at its simplest.

This book took me a little more to get into than other books by Sarah but it was still worth it. I think I am just mostly excited to see where this story leads us! :)
