I assumed this book would focus on HAES or body positivity, and while it does, it is so much more! Everybody has a body and Sonya explores all the ways societal and systemic pressures affect us - size, race, ability, expression, etc. This book is could be a prerequisite for social justice work as the root message in order to move forward is: radical self-love.

Did not enjoy the audiobook - too much back and forth and distracting sound effects

Great romantasy with a sufficiently bad ass fmc! Perfect winter read for all the ice, snow, and fighting!

I read this through “Dracula Daily” which emails out the letters/diary enteries on their date. So I started this in May and finished in November! I loved the email style!

The story is a classic and not a great read, but a decent premise- Dracula’s identity and spread, and how the group of characters come together- doctors, solicitor, wives, and bffs.
I couldn’t handle how Mina was referred to as having “a brain like that of a man’s” because she was smart and capable (i.e. memorized the train schedule and could type)! Argh 1800s!

Such a great continuation and sweeping epic!
I didn’t like that the Sadeas’ murder hunt and the Oathblood story lines got dropped for so long. And even for how long it it is, so many characters weren’t explored much at all - like Jasnah’s return and Renarin in general.

A fun, light/medium spicy, vampires and werewolf romance! I like the sassy, not totally helpless fmc, and great side side character and banter.
Plot is simplistic, but overall it was good for what it is!

This is such a great rom com! I literally laughed out loud, cried twice, and felt all the feelings!

It’s heavy on the “I’m not good enough”, so if that’s not your thing, then be warned.
The romance is adorable and fade-to-black.
Loved the character development of the protagonists, and LOVED the array of side characters - perfect compliments or foils and all so unique!!
