What an interesting concept for a book! I almost think reading the author’s note about the poetic nature would be better to start with!

Great religious thriller (Angels and Demons-esque)! Could have been a lot longer to flush out some of the side stories!

Really enjoyed the overall premise and twists! Felt like some plot points jumped a little too fast and left pieces unsaid.
Also, not sure I can ever get passionate about sales, but the eye-twitching, jaw clenching frustration of all the aggressions were expertly depicted!

If you enjoyed Twilight and just wished it could have been written as an adult fiction - here you go! I quite liked the first half, but the second half kind of fell apart for me.

I could not get into the story - didn’t like the writing or characters and felt no intrigue with the mystery!

Oh this was good! Everything you want from a magical YA fantasy - dragons, curses, adventure, love, and adorable side characters!
Great pacing, good reveals, compelling reasons/motivations, and satisfying conclusion (though is the first in a duology!).

Did not enjoy the writing style, was unconnected to the characters, and it was far too slow to built any desire to learn about the Doors.

Parts of this book made my heart swell, and others made me feel physically nauseous. This was intense, well-woven, and intense!
So close to a five star, but I felt some story lines stretched out a bit and the pacing became tedious.
