This series continues to mesmerize me. The writing is incredible and I love how I have total faith in the author to weave everything together. Although the story takes some dark turns, there’s always humor, joy, and discovery. The depth of emotion between Chu Wanning and Mo Ran is palpable. I LOVE how their characters grew during this book. Incredible.

If I could give this book more than five stars I would! It is beautifully written and paced, the adventure and fantasy elements are well laid out and interesting, the characters are complex and draw you in. I’m so dedicated to this adventure and cannot wait to start book two!
