I have to say that I picked up the book because of the cover before even reading the synopsis. Once I read the synopsis I knew this was a book for me.  Dyatlov Pass has always fascinated me and all the lore that surrounds it.  I read some of the reviews as I read the book and I do agree with them saying they were getting The Ruins and As Above So Below vides.  I enjoyed most of the book, then it took a turn in the last quarter. That was when it lost me and I got a little bored that it didn't feel like picking it back up.  I felt a little cheated out of a better ending and it also felt a little rushed. This is Jenny Kiefer's debut novel and I can see her writing going up from here.  I will pick up her other books if/when she writes them.

I want to begin by stating that although I am not a golf enthusiast, this book is not solely intended for golf fans. You do not need to have any prior knowledge about golf to appreciate this book. After finishing this book, I would not claim to be a golf fan, but I don't find it as tedious as I did before.

This is the second book I have read by Tessa Bailey, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I still can't believe she made the sport of golf sexy.  Josephine Doyle is a strong female character and she didn't lose that when she was with Wells Whitaker. They worked together and it was more than a 50/50 relationship but more like 100/100. They made each other better and the growth was great to read about. When I want a grumpy sunshine book, this is what I am talking about.  Wells was still grumpy but not with Josephine, and I loved that. Now I am off to eagerly wait for the next book The Au Pair Affair.

PS: I have a cat named Josephine but we call her Josie, so at parts, I couldn't stop laughing thinking of my cat.

I finished this book last night and my brain went to mush. This book had my emotions on a roller coaster ride and I loved every minute.  The way Trisha Wolfe wrapped up Halen and Kallum's story was perfect and I didn't want it to end. I was ugly crying reading parts of this book and I mean UGLY. I can't say more, but that epilogue had me crying too with happy tears.  I really have to say this is one of my favorite series and I see myself coming back to it when I need a fix lol. Before going into this series you really need to check TW.

Thank you Trisha Wolfe for trusting me with the ARC of this book and give my honest review.
