I adored this book, though it did take me a few chapters to get into it. I also wish it was a little darker. Conner had me smiling and hoping I could find a guy like him. I did have trouble getting into Paisley's POV but that changed after a few of her POVs. Like I said early do wish it was darker and we read more about the crime family involvement. I really can't wait to read more from Layla Simon.

I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I really enjoyed the first half of the book and it kept me entertained, then around the 60% mark I started to get annoyed with Maven.  I  understand that she went through a horrible break up with a rich a$$hole but Vince was bending over backwards for her. Then in the last couple of chapters she did get somewhat better. Now I can't wait to see what the next books brings me.

What drew me into this book was the title then the artwork. I love learning about mythology and especially when it is about women of myth. What I loved about this book is that it had more than just Greek/Roman women in this book. There are women in this book that I can't wait to do more research on.

I absolutely loved all the art in the book and I need it on my walls ASAP

Thank you Netgalley for letting me read and review this.
