a Mexican gothic horror that touched on colonialism & misogyny. however i wanted the supernatural aspect of the book to be creepier

this could have easily been a 5 star read but something about the plot fell a bit short for me

hard to read at times but very educational

contemporary books are not really for me i feel & not a fan of the cheating but i liked the ending

beautiful descriptions of the countryside, loveable characters and good plot made this book very immersive and enjoyable. ending made me cry

a short but insightful look into an lgbt experience different to my own. v glad i picked it up for lgbt history month
