The setting, the opening scenes, the local dialect, the bleek vibes. I thought I was going to love it but it lost steam for me halfway. Will definitely read whatever comes next though. I want more of that horror and beautiful "Western for Britain's moors" atmosphere.

The first book was wild and entertaining.... I just couldn't stand reading more about his "rea" life. Stuff in the back looked cool.

Not in the mood for this level of thinking and I want to really enjoy this! I do love his writing and the poem was easier to read than expected. I also have to say I have a new love for the Everyman's library edition

I skimmed around this a bit and enjoyed it but I haven't read the books referenced here so I'd like to come back once I have!

Started off great but I was bored in the middle.
I confess I read the end which I thought was very clever, and honestly, no regrets.

Beautiful but very slow paced, which I'm not in the mood for right now. I will return to this.
