this book took me fr 6 months to get through. and it’s fast paced. it just bored me so much idk i was never attached to the characters. didn’t really care about the plot at all either. i think it’s a good book but simply not my style.

one of the best books i’ve read in a while the writing was simply phenomenal and the humor tied in was great despite jeanette’s circumstances being very unique she managed to relate to the reader in simple ways and had rlly intresting points to bring up. i only took on a bit because it got a little excessively repetitive i feel like with the bulimia stuff but i don’t think she should’ve written it differently or at least i don’t think she should’ve written less about it. it is impactful and representative of how big of a role it played in her life. i just don’t like throw up so it turned me off at parts. the ending and beginning were absolutely 5 stars like so so great.

i absolutely loved this book the writing was wonderful the topics were so intresting everytime i took the time to play this audiobook i felt like a more grateful and grounded person. so great. the book of delights is open raw and full of humor. i think that some of the writing was a bit overdone and confusing at times, but i also think part of that is due to me listening to it over audiobook. def a book i would read again to really take everything in.

this book is like nothing i’ve ever read. so funny with extremely relatable despite the not relatable circumstances the characters are in. the perfect amount of weirdness that keeps you engaged and wanting to turn the page to see what he’ll come up with next

wonderful. thought it was super well written. this book was simply so engaging because i found the topic and the psychology of it so interesting. this is a really complicated topic and it worked my brain just enough but was clear in its delivery and didn’t require any outside analysis (though you could analyze it a ton if you wished). i loved the writing style and how you essentially knew what would happen from the beginning but watched it play out in ways you couldn’t necessarily imagine (because it’s a foreign world). the worldbuilding was great too. found winston oddly relatable in his old weird way. the relationship with julia was annoying af but made sense by the end

this book was not at all what i expected it was a lot more dramatic than i had thought it would be but i rlly enjoyed every page it was rlly cool cause i mixed in self help stuff with a rlly intresting plot line the writers voice was clear and the writing, though it wasn’t the typical like artistic prose type stuff that i’m used to, was rlly good and digestible. i fell in love with the writing style from reading the first page in barnes and noble and this book though not my fav book ever def deserves its place as a nytimes bestseller

ahhhhhh i loved this book it was firstly so darling and sweet. not only was the writing beautiful and captivating, but despite the non-natural circumstances, everything felt so realistic. the lgbtq rep felt so normal and not forced. not only is the plot crazy cool, but it was weaved in so beautifully in with every other part of the book. great lessons and memorable characters. took me a while to get into for some reason, but great overall
