Autumn by Ali Smith
4.0
My first Ali Smith and it was truly beautiful. Thinky and art-y all with an approachable lens into political conversation. Definitely for me.
Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass by Lana Del Rey
3.0
Because Lana always gives me the nostalgic feels. Some poems are better than others. I listened alongside with the audiobook. It's a full vibe. Check it out if you are a fan of hers, if you are looking for groundbreaking poetry you can probably skip it.
Signs Preceding the End of the World by Yuri Herrera
5.0
Yuri Herrera! A new fave of mine! Perfect example of when a small book does some big things. Migration, immigration, language, borders, etc. So SO good. Read it.
Mouthpieces by Eimear McBride
2.0
First two pieces didn't work for me. The third was interesting, smart, sharp and beautiful.
House of Incest by Anaïs Nin
4.0
The sheer depth and magnitude of what this woman does with language is astonishing. My introduction to Anaïs Nin and I am ob-sessed. Give me more more more.
