Her writing style is very noticeably different. She is more direct in her political expressions, reducing metaphors and maximising impact. Her usage of visceral imagery is a step up from her earlier works.

I am not qualified to comment on a book of this stature, but this books requires work. And it deserves your time and attention. Working through it slowly has been an immense privilege. I've been reading this for two years at this point. I have nothing but praise for all the poems - by poets I had heard of but never read before and by poets I've discovered along the way.
