I think I need time to process this book, but it was definitely a good one. But boy, those plot twist!
There were several times throughout this book that I was exclaiming out loud, sighing or having to put the book down to process what had happened.
Really well written, seriously thrilling.
However, I hate the last page.

Feel like I might be the only person on the earth rating this badly
I don’t even really know what to say. It didn’t really feel like there was a story other than ‘we’re going to space and we’re going to do space stuff’. Come across a dead planet that’s not dead. Nearly die. The most interesting part of this was the depressed robot, and he barely even said anything and his character was made out to be dull and boring, despite having ‘a brain the size of a planet’. Yeah, won’t be picking up the second one.

Ahhh, I wanted to love this book so much, I really did. I’d heard such good things and during the first part of the book I was so so enthralled. But, by the end, I saw what was coming. I didn’t mind it, it’s one of my favourite sort of plots, but it just didn’t grab my attention the same way another book would.
I think I’ll probably return to the series at some point, but for now I’m going to part ways with it.

Regretting You by Colleen Hoover

This was a super cute romance to start my February off. In the first few chapters I didn’t really know what to expect, but I’m glad I perused it. I love Hoover’s writing so much, and by the end I had tears in my eyes. The typical plot twist was there, but in a way I didn’t expect. I loved it so much!

Oh my, this is an amazing little collection. If I hadn’t been walking my dog every time I listened, I’d have been sobbing at some of them. This really does give a great starting ground for the TOG series, and I can’t wait to dive in.

I really enjoyed this book from start to finish - it was one of those that had a super easy to read story with great characters with unique traits. I've never really encountered a book with characters like this and I loved it. This only got 4 stars because I found the plot quite predictable, and it followed the same sort of pre-disposition of other romances.
Would highly recommend to any romance lovers. This book had me smiling, wide eyed, angry and so so happy.

If you’re wanting to read straight up soft-core porn, this is the book for you. No real storyline, just a lot of sex in different locations, a lot of jealousy and a highly distinctions relationship.

Imagine rating alien porn a 5 star read… Probably not the first thing you expected from someone who whole-heartedly has not ventured into the lands of aliens combined with erotica, but here’s my reasoning for it.
The storyline is genuinely amazing, and I really really enjoyed character development and world building in this. The entire thing wasn’t centred around sex, and the scenes weren’t overly graphic but were enjoyable to read.
Georgie is a human, taken in the dead of night by what we will later fondly call 'basketball heads' and 'little green men'. Sounds ridiculous, but stay with me here.
Georgie finds herself amongst a group of other girls; they're all similar ages, have no underlying health conditions, and aren't pregnant. Or at least, aren't anymore.
When the ship they're being transported on crashes, Georgie is the one to volunteer to begin a rescue mission, and heads out into an alien-infested, snow-covered, and all out brutal planet.
And guess what? Apparently, the ice aliens are hot.
Georgie encounters Vektal - a seven foot, bluish-grey being with horns, ridges covering his body... and a giant d**k.
Unsurprisingly, he and Georgie have a language barrier, but that doesn't stop them. Throughout the novel (or novella, considering it being less than 100 pages) we see them develop their own ways of communication, in a very George of the Jungle x Jane kind of way. It's honestly sweet, and powerful, and seeing both points of view really does make you fall in love with both of the characters.
The relationship between Vektal and Georgie? Insanely amazing. Built on respect and curiosity and simultaneous learning. Starting with only words and gestures, this romance builds and blooms until Georgie finds a way to learn the language. Vektal respects Georgie - his 'weird, smooth-skinned human', and relishes just in being in her presence. Unlike the typical romance of this type, he never crosses any boundaries. NEVER. Can someone get me a Vektal?!
Seeing Georgie's point of view as well as Vektal really does show how the romance blooms between the two, and really does keep you gripped. The way Vektal respects Georgie's choices to try and save her friends is impeccable, and the way Georgie understands Vektal's needs as part of a tribe of blue-grey aliens that are quickly dying out is also insanely amazing.
Overall, this gets five stars from me, for the reasons given above - but here's a TL;DR too.

To say this may be the weirdest book I've ever read is an understatement. Saying I'm excited to read the other 21 books in the series? Also an understatement.
I'm officially an alien erotica fan and reviewer, and I'm 110% on board with it!
