"A single mother with a secret past. A Hollywood star who's life is anything but hidden. Will the past deprive them of a future? Or will they dare to dream a dream for love?"
Laurel Simmons is doing everything she can to protect her small daughter from the secret of her past. Ryan Crandall has turned away from his small town values for a life of fame and fortune. Sparks fly when they collide at his beach house and he gets a glimpse of what life could be if he'd let love back in.
I enjoyed getting to know Laurel and Ryan as they sorted through their pasts and present situations. A little princess can soften even the hardest heart.

This series just keeps getting better! I loved how distinctly different this second title in the series is compared to the first and prequel. A Daring Sacrifice has a darker, more sinister villain than an Uncertain Choice but Juliana isn't some mousy damsel in distress! This gal is a serious Lady Robin Hood, stealing from the rich, giving to the poor, wanted for her crimes, and recklessly bold. Wealthy, light-hearted Sir Collin is settling into his new role as Lord of his own lands and he's frankly bored with the monotony. His interest is sparked when he crosses paths with disguised Juliana. A Daring Sacrifice is an engaging story with a mixture of suspense, drama, romance, and humor. I always enjoy a good Jody Hedlund book and the next in the series promises to be just as exciting as the first two.

Seaside Surprises is a sweet romance with a dash of suspense. Tiffany is trying to make a new start after enduring an abusive relationship. Jack is mourning the loss of his sister and single handedly trying to keep the family business running.
I enjoyed the way the main characters cautiously opened up to one another. Both Jack and Tiffany have issues and emotions they are dealing with and the book felt very authentic in that aspect. I love the seaside setting, Stacy did a wonderful job describing the outdoor activities and scenery. The glimpses of Jack's brothers' personalities promises great stories throughout the series and I am looking forward to experiencing them as well!

When her father leaves to record the events of the Civil War for posterity, Carrie Ann Bell takes responsibility for her mother and sisters and her father's small town newspaper. When her younger sister runs off with a traveling peddler, it's up to Carrie to find her and bring her back home. Her childhood friend Joshua tries to dissuade her and warn her of the dangers she will face. Carrie is determined to disguise herself and travel north in search of her sister.
Colonel Peyton Collier has no choice but to arrest the independent minded spitfire in order to protect her. Soon the aftermath each battle brings to the surgeon's tent wears on her compassionate heart and Peyton must find a way to keep her safe before the next big battle erupts.
This is the first title I've read by Andrea Boeshaar and I look forward to reading more of her work! This is an excellent Civil War novel, full of drama, suspense, romance, and a splash of humor.

I'm not usually a time-travel fan but Lisa Belcastro hit the nail on the head in Shenandoah Nights! I love the way she worked out all the little details without making the story feel weird or far-fetched. Great romance as well. I will be reading more books from this series!

I won this book in a giveaway. The opinions expressed are my own.

The Reversal is full of tension and turmoil between the head coach and head groundskeeper and plenty of flirty fun. T.I. Lowe has quickly become one of my favorite authors.

This book is rich, raw, and unapologetic. Each of the three main characters is well fleshed out and I felt like I really got to know them. I love that everyone in this story is flawed and each person has their own issues to overcome. The author touches on grief, alcoholism, abuse, homelessness, sickness, etc. and of course, grace. Scriptures, songs, and behaviors throughout the book impart the Gospel message naturally. I would love to read more about the main or secondary characters!
I received this title from the author and I look forward to reading her future work! The opinions expressed are my own.

Julia is a little flighty but I love her anyway! She is a compassionate, intelligent medical student. I love that Julia is willing to go to great lengths to provide care and protection to animals in need. Ashton is a hard-working, sensible lawyer. He is determined to provide financial security for his father to repay him for the sacrifices made to provide Ashton's education.
Straight-laced Ashton and free-spirited Julia are a winning combination. I enjoyed their story and can't wait to learn more about the estate and Vandermark family in Until the Dawn!

I am familiar with Arleta Richardson's Grandma's Attic series so I was excited to dive into this series. Beyond the Orphan Train series was a real hit with my children (preschool through middle-grade). I read aloud one to four chapters at each sitting and the kids just about always begged for more. I know my middle-grade daughter will read and reread these stories on her own. There was enough adventure to keep the boys interested yet not too much to frighten my tenderhearted little girl. I liked the many real-life subjects that came up in our discussions while reading this story.
