I have no words! This book had me on the edge of my seat. I honestly cannot wait to read the second book. The way "The Shadow" stalked Adeline was so thrilling yet terrifying. Don't get my started on the smut scenes, big trigger warning for some but if your into it you'll absolutely love it. I was very captivated, hung on to every word. Amazing, amazing book. Very excited to read book 2.

I throughly enjoyed this book, the beginning was too fast pace for my likings. Thatās just me though. I wasnāt a fan of Tamlin, i was indifferent at first but as soon as Rhysand showed up, I knew I was gonna love him. Tamlin was too stiff for me.
Iāve spent weeks trying to finish this book..
Mind you it isnāt bad but I personally couldnāt get into it. I tried to push myself to read it and in doing so it threw me into a reading slump. Maybe Iāll go back and try again at a later date but I doubt it, I got about 70% of the way through and it was like pulling teeth just getting that far into it.
Maybe someone else will enjoy this book, I just couldnāt find it in me.

Rating this a 5 because it deserve it, I canāt knock off a point just because I have a POV preferenceā¦ (Itās written in 3rd person POV) I prefer 1st person. Anyways on to the review.
Wow, I asked for a cozy witchy romance and this gave a cozy witchy romance. I loved it. I couldnāt have asked for a better book.
First of all I loved how slow-burn the romance was. To me it was set at the perfect pace. WHEN THEY KISSED?!?!? oh I was swooning.
The singular sex scene was in my opinion pretty PG, it wasnāt over detailed. It gave you just enough detail to know what was going on but you have to use your imagination to get the full picture. Iād say very upper YA into Adult. I personally wouldnāt consider this book spicy but I know some will say it is because of the singular sex scene.
Aside from that I loved the diversity in characters and the LGBTQIA+ representation. (Thereās an interracial queer/gay couple).
All around this books couldnāt have been more perfect.. and thatās saying a lot because Iāve never been a fan of cozy romance novelsā¦ I prefer my dark fantasy romance smut.
