This is the kind of novel that I really enjoy. It ties in history with fiction. It presented much like a hybrid between Hamilton and National Treasure. Clues hidden in plain sight was the order of the day. I loved the twist at the end. It was rather unexpected. The author made a good go of it. I'm looking forward to acquainting myself with more of her work.

There was a boatload of heat in this book. Some story was there, but a lot of it seemed to be focused on hooking up, claiming the other person, making kinks known, and asserting exchangeable power.

This story gets...πŸŒΆπŸ’žπŸŒΆπŸ¬πŸŒΆπŸ”₯πŸŒΆπŸ’ž.

There was more to this story than I expected. I was definitely entertained. The couple, the team, the conflict, the HEA - it all worked. I loved it! I am very much looking forward to the rest of the stories to come.

I tried to read this book prior to Legends & Lattes, because I wanted to follow the proper order of the series. I did not really vibe with this story, however. I went in with zero expectations; unfortunately, I was disappointed. This may affect whether or not I choose to read the next book. It's up in the air, at this point.

There is something here for whatever romance trope a reader might prefer. Some stories appealed more than others, but all in all, it was a pretty good compilation.

For those readers looking for a quick billionaire romance go to with the inclusion of fluff and stuff stories, this would fit the bill.
