no thoughts. my once fantasy-loving head empty.

no thoughts. head empty!

i’d beat his ass too.

a fucking crazy ride that is brutal yet somehow majestic? god, I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to read this. an epic tale of war that’s in a league of its own

never thought I would see the day where there would be a third-act breakup at the 90% mark but life does still have some surprises!

For an author who historically writes STEM-centric novels, it's only fitting Hazelwood follows a formula. Think overly large man, small-into-one-kind-of-food-too-much woman, a cast of equally as eccentric characters all wrapped up in an academic setting. It works, but I can't help but think of the Spiderman meme where they're all pointing at each other after reading this book because is it really all that different?

It's been so fun as a reader seeing her writing skills grow (this is definitely the best writing-wise!), I just wish she went off-script/rogue/into a different Adam Driver-look-alike sunset.

this felt half baked? like the plot, characters, conflict was there but the author just couldn’t get there. It’s been a bit since I’ve wanted to fight an MC but if I see Althea on the streets consider us dueling at dawn

not life changing but a fun vomp nonetheless!

personally made me never want to do group therapy and i feel like this book’s intentions were supposed to be the opposite of that.
