This book is one I discovered when I was a child and just read again, being 22 years old, and LOVED. I almost wish that the grown-up literary fiction could tell stories and convey emotion directly to me in such a simple and evocative way as Charlie Higson has done with this novel. Although a definite middle grade book, verging on YA, I find this book enjoyable for anybody. The book is not childish in anyway, an excellent entry to action or adventure novels. It makes me excited to see what best in show has to offer in its genre.
