The writing was wonderful, the narration was perfect, and the story was spun well across the multiple viewpoints. But as someone who's been a part of this (music business) world, I still didn't fall in love with the story. It felt forced and glaringly fictional - fame just doesn't happen that way. That being said, band memoirs are my genre, so I expect more reality from them. Even if I couldn't get into the story, there were many heartwarming moments about the kinds of connections we form with each other, family and good friends alike, especially at the end.
