If you like the Catcher in the Rye, you might also like this one too. Both of them share the same sentiment: a deep hatred for pretentious people and some extra loathing for the world. However, this one is a bit more personal, as it's more family oriented lol.
That, combined with the fact that the FMC has a good sense of humour, surely lightens up the mood.
Also side note, it's not gory or anything, so don't worry about that.
On the cons now, there was a bit of excessive inner monologue at times which made it feel super long at times and it wasn't as articulate as someone would expect from reading about a person who "unalives" other people.
Overall, it felt a bit mediocre.

I really wanted to like this one as I expected to be this very spooky-cult related-mystery novel.
Unfortunately though what I got was a slow, not at all exciting book, which in my opinion failed to pass the message it intended to in the first place.
There is a very small character development from the MC, and the side characters were just that, side characters. We get 2-3 pieces of information for them and that's it.
It wasn’t as fascinating as I thought, nor as thrilling. I wouldn’t recommend this one.

It gives handmaid’s tale & 1984. It’s dystopian and intense, and it’s a must-read for sure.

It gives Cruel Prince vibes but with a bit of smut. There were some scenes that were be a bit childish but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
