This book felt like home - like reading Pippi Långstrump for adults. I loved every word.

I picked this up after reading Braiding Sweetgrass, which was published after Gathering Moss. GM is beautifully written, yet a bit more on the technical side. That being said, I still underlined several passages and learned to appreciate mosses in a way I never considered possible. Worth the read for the nature enthusiast for sure.

The perfect, clear, approachable guide to spinning your own yarn for any beginner! I read it cover to cover after I got it from the library and now I’m looking for a used copy to have on hand while I try to improve my skills.

If you’re looking for a book that will give you a practical education on indigenous gardening methods, this is not the one. It is, however, a lovely and informative book on the history and culture of indigenous gardening ideals and beliefs.
