Enemies to lovers or just acquaintances with a slight misunderstanding? I love Ali Hazelwood, but I do not enjoy this being audiobook only. I've never needed an adult woman doing a fake deep voice and dirty talking in my ear. Cute and fun and predictable.
I wouldn't say this felt like a P&P retelling, more like someone who's only read other retelling's and not the original source took a shot at writing their own version. I appreciated the representation and the book was overall mostly enjoyable, but it felt nothing like P&P, and the main characters lacked anything that truly made them feel like Darcy and "Elizabeth"/Oliver, regardless of gender. There was also a lack of development, all the characters felt the same at the start as they did at the beginning.
