loveable characters. Ending seems very rushed.

Now I admit I'm not a fan of adding very dated elements to books like tiktok so the great plan to free her lover from a vampire prison using a tiktok video was very not enjoyable to me obviously.

But that aside, the ending still didn't feel well thought out. There was no

sense of urgency.

Overall a nice read but definitely not a favorite.

made me sad

Hayes was loveable and Solene was easily one of the most real characters I've ever read. Her inner monologue was so realistic regarding the situation she found herself it. Devastatingly sad ending and knowing it was inevitable made it hurt for longer as the book came to an end. Post-read, there was a feeling of genuine loss and heartbreak
