Margaret Atwood kicks ass. Can't believe I waited so long to read this...every woman should.

Creepiest "children's" book I've ever read.

A very pleasant and quick read. Lovely, beautiful writing...at times a bit heavy-handed with the metaphors which got a little annoying by the end. Made me hungry and wish I could take a class from Lillian. I'll definitely read the sequel.

A collection of letters spanning 20 years between Helene Hanff, a feisty, American woman and Frank Doel, a charming, antiquarian bookseller in London...how could I not love this? Epistolary novels might be my favorite genre. I really wanted more than 97 pages because I had a smile on my face the whole time I read this. Off to find the movie!

The message of the book really spoke to me and will stick with me for a long time...the writing style, lack of real plot, and character development made me not give it more stars.

Not as charming as 84, Charing Cross Road, but still enjoyable especially for someone dying to go to London. Helene Hanff was a pip :)
