On a whole, I find Anne rice’s work boring apart from a few scenes or lines that she writes which I will think about forever. Lestat as a character though has got to be the least interesting to me.

Don’t waste your time. Paper thin characters. Shallow and stupid plot. No atmosphere. It’s summary after summary, telling after telling with sex scenes thrown in.

Honestly I understand why she presented the information this way but it doesn’t work. It’s confusing and I felt like I couldn’t follow the flow and so transformation. Also it just ended without any clear idea as to why end it there.

It started out strong but then that 3/4ths part and the end reveal was just not that well done. A shame cause I really liked them in the beginning.
