I really enjoyed it while I was reading it other than being bothered by the lack of editing. If you like wattpad-feeling vampire romance you’ll eat this up.

Time jumps and flashbacks made it a little confusing. A good introduction to Gaunt, but not as much the rest of the Ghosts. I read book 3 first and I am glad I did because I know it gets so much better, if I had started here I likely would not have been motivated to continue the series. Overall a decent origin.

Absolutely impeccable. Don’t let the length of this book discourage you. The world is rich, and the characters flawed and realistic. There wasn’t a single POV I disliked. The tone itself immerses you into the plot. I already can’t wait to reread it!
