Love's the worst demon of 'em all. And the story is built on misusing of love by several characters; a father that his love ruins the fate his beloved, a wife that used love to her own favor and a poor soul who couldn't get love in the entirety of her lifetime.

White nights are the nights that do not get completely dark. I find the name of the book really relatable to the main character after he had his share of intimacy with Nastenka. Altruistic loving is what i sensed as i was reading the first dialogues between Nastenka and the Main character; it's a good idea about love and it was conveyed by Dostoevsky bittersweetly.
