Who's Afraid by Maria Lewis
Despite my reservations about the novel; I met the author and immediately wanted to buy it. After purchasing it I opened it and stepped into a completely different world. The different locations weaved an adventure that was page turning.toomi was a complex protagonist that was both witty with a similar sense to my own and a killer fashion sense.
The different relationship that was represented felt real from the committed couple to the casual sexual relationship I felt this was done really well. The cast was diverse and while most of the secondary characters were somewhat fleshed out a few fell into the cardboard cut-out stereotypes; however they all added some depth to the main characters story
The references were by far my fave bit of this book from Tommi's inner monolog to references to Pocahontas and the Nanny took by a back but made miss laugh regardless.
And Lorcan, I loved the role he provided for Tommi's new life he was funny yet serious. While he played a similar role to Dimitri from vampire academy I felt he had enough original characteristics that the only comparison would be the job type .
All in all, a great read that I greatly enjoyed.
