Chelsea Girls by Eileen Myles

i’ve never read anyone who writes the way myles writes, which i really love even though it could be a bit challenging at times. they write so nonchalantly but the text is somehow charged with so much emotion, i really admire that. also i love lesbian memoirs and myles is kind of the patron saint of messy lesbians so this was awesome

one of the best books ive ever read holy shit. i finished this in under a week i don’t think i’ve ever read at that pace before. literally could not put it down mitchell is brilliant and i did cry at the end.
