This book and Trista Mateer’s poetry was everything I needed right now!!!

The poems are so light, yet meaningful. They explore such difficult themes but they are empowering at the same time.

I really enjoyed the idea to place a Greek goddess (the other collections in this series also do this with Artemis and Aphrodite) as the main character and to write the poems from her point of view and through her experiences, which are often those of other people all around the world.

Also, the artwork in this book is stunning and I felt really inspired to make more collages myself and mix them with poetry 😍

Definitely give this one a chance and while you’re at it discover the lovely poetry of the other collections in this series, just like I did!!!

I don’t really have much to say about this book… It did not it the spot for me, and, trust me, I really hoped it would.

“The Handmaid’s Tale” is one of my favorite books and I was really hoping to love this one as well! Give me a dystopia and I’m a happy girl, so I was really excited and intrigued by the idea behind this novel. Unfortunately, aí feel like it didn’t reach its full potential and it didn’t go where I would’ve liked.

Nonetheless, I’m still interested in trying more works by Margaret Atwood in the future!

“Lights” is the last installment in the series. This was just the best ending to the series! I love how we found out more about a specific characters, and I really appreciate how that helped to give a natural closure to the story while reinforcing the message of the series, that no matter what we have to face in our lifetime we can overcome it and heal.
