This was different than I expected. A little lighter. And for a book that's 500 pages, I feel like not a ton happened. Still, enjoyable read and I'll definitely read the rest of the trilogy.

I give up, 200 pages in. Can I give it 0 stars? This is awful. There are no characters, just cardboard cutouts that said the lines. Not to mention the spreading out of 15 pages of plot into the first 200 pages I read. I'm not entirely convinced about the science of it, either, even knowing that this was written 45 years ago. I will almost always stick with a book if I can sense any redeeming value, but this one has defeated me.
