This was a great criticism of artificial intelligence and the capitalism of Hollywood.

My wife aptly described this book as an expression of feminine rage. "Slewfoot" narrates the story of Abitha, a woman living in 1666, an era rife with tales of witches and devils. The narrative prompts you to ask — who were the real devils? As a reader, you're drawn into her world, experiencing the fear, frustration, and defiance that come with challenging the status quo. The author's portrayal of Abitha's struggle for autonomy in a patriarchal society is both poignant and empowering.

"Star Wars: The Living Force" by John Jackson Miller unfolds a fascinating narrative that delves deep into a community grappling with a sense of abandonment by the Jedi. This captivating tale, steeped in intrigue and conflict, explores the power vacuum that arises in the wake of the Jedi's perceived withdrawal. As unscrupulous elements, primarily criminals, seize this opportunity to assert their dominance and exploit the situation, the story takes a compelling turn. The narrative arc beautifully captures the subsequent reactions and strategies of the Jedi as they confront this challenging predicament, providing readers with an engrossing exploration of this unique aspect of the Star Wars universe.

"The Reformatory" is a story set in a children's prison, similar to the Dozier School in Marianna, Florida. The young protagonist, Robert, is sent there for protecting his sister from a white boy's unwelcome advances. Not only does he encounter actual ghosts, but he also grapples with the reformatory's malevolent caretaker. Within the eerie confines of the institution, Robert must navigate through mostly benign spectral figures and the ever-present menace of the wicked warden. His love for his sister, inherent sense of justice, and indomitable spirit give him strength. "The Reformatory" is a chilling testament to human resilience in the face of intense adversity.
