I have been looking forward to this book since it was first announced! Let me tell you, it was worth the wait! I foam at the mouth for any books with drag queens, but drag kings I rarely see!

This is a YA story that follows Briar as she navigates her mental health while making some friends, some enemies, and discovers more about herself and what she can do. Maybe along the way, some enemies may become... More...

I adored any and all references to drag and gay culture. I would have LOVED to actually be in attendance to some of the performances that are described in the book. I love the depression representation and the support systems that were showcased in this book. I adored the ending of the book and how is was positive and believable. I wish I would have had more books just like this one when I was a baby queer. Highly recommend!

I really loved the dynamic between the two MCs. The pets really took it to the next level! There were many things I didn’t see coming, or twists I saw coming but they went further than I thought.

What a sweet and tragic story! Honestly, my only complaint is that I wanted more time with them! 🥹 Regan and all the terrible things he went through really got me. And Isaac was such a bleeding heart. Fairly short read, childhood friends to lovers, pining, and so so so much heart!

This book was so sweet! Auro was especially sweet and kind, I adored him. Initially the building is rather slow, but at about 40% it really picks up! The twists at the end were definitely interesting, and the story kept me guessing! I am SO READY for the next book! If you like historical romance vibes, romances with demigods, a dash of royal politics, secrets and curses, then give this book a shot!
