This book. THIS BOOK. Ugh, I needed it. I didn’t know I needed it. But there were just so many moments that made me want to scream in pure love and adoration for these characters. I just. I don’t know that I can do this book justice with mere words, but I’ll try.

Riley Nash and Found Family are like peanut butter and jelly. The found family here is just so incredible that I could scream. The trans joy. OMG THE TRANS JOY. The trans MC was everything I ever wanted, and the other MC was so heckin sweet that I could just punch through a wall. Theo and Calvin were such unexpected but perfect additions to this group of dirty strays. Calvin needs his own special shout out because I could just throw up right now with how much I love him. This book!

I can’t… I don’t even… there are no words. Seriously, I hecking loved everything about this book. The hurt/comfort. The process of finding your words. The found family. TUBBS. It was just so good. 😍😍😍

Ok, before we get to my incoherent flailing, this is a taboo book. Check your triggers and take a peak at Nyla’s foreward as she does an EXCELLENT job of making sure you know what you are getting into with no spoilers. 

Now that that’s out of the way, HOLY HECK I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! The story here was so intriguing that at times I couldn’t put the book down. It’s messed up, it’s forbidden, it’s taboo, but heck is it full of heart. I looked forward to picking it up every time and I’m so sad it’s over. Also, did I see a little connection there to a certain inmate?! IYKYK. Ugh, not to mention the spicy scenes!!! 🫠 seriously, you feel like you are right there! So well done, I am immediately ordering from Nyla’s website because I need to hold it. 😍😍😍

I really enjoyed this book! If you enjoy dark, check this one out! Check the triggers as well. Nate was kinda a big jerk, but I loved him? I think that says more about me… maybe. lol, Xavi I actually thought was a sweet tortured bb! There is a bit of one step forward, two steps back that goes on, and the smut scenes are definitely on the rough and gritty side, which I LOVED. So in general, loved it, would 100% read again!

This book was so much fluffier than I thought it would be! Idk, I hear taboo and I automatically prepare for dark, but this one was actually… super cute? I adored it. The characters are lovable, and the story is intriguing! Definitely check your triggers and suspend reality a bit, because it IS a taboo book and that may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

This book has a very different vibe from what I am used to. Its haunting, beautiful, and almost poetic. I consumed it in small sips, taking my time, and I honestly think that was the best way for me. It is very clear right from the start that Alek Katin is hiding things. He is shrouded in mystery that gets spoon fed to the reader in small doses as the book goes on. This is really what kept me intrigued the whole time for the book. In addition, the love in these pages is so all consuming that it’s pretty toxic at times, and I love that. Both MCs are complex, with Ian wearing his heart on his sleeve, and Alek doing everything possible to protect his heart. I loved the way the author handled an MC with depression. There were times I wanted to scream at him. There were other times that I was nearly brought to tears because I have been there and know what is like for depression to whisper, or sometimes even scream, awful things to you about yourself and the way others around you feel toward you. Above all else, what I enjoyed most about the book was the healing. A lot of kindle highlights toward the end there!

This book! Read the trigger warnings and forward before diving into this one. It is so disgusting… I LOVED IT. There is no lie here about what this is. It is pure smut, taboo, and definitely will not be everyone’s cup of tea. That being said, it is so over the top that I CACKLED at several parts and in general had a great time ready this amazingly disgusting short read.

This story was very well done! Some parts were easy to predict, but some bamboozled you! I really enjoyed the dynamic between the two romantic MCs, and the students brought levity to the story. Several parts pulled at my heartstrings, and there were a few other parts that I thought dragged a bit. Many tangled truths, all very interesting! I’m definitely looking forward to more.

I need moreeee! Ugh, I have loved The Vitale Brothers series so much! I can’t wait until more of them come on to audio so I can keep going! Benito’s story was great, Harlow is such an intriguing character. Has everything I’ve come to expect from reading the first two books!
