This book was an absolute blast! I was no stranger to JLA when starting this book so my expectations where out of this world and she did not disappoint.
First of all I don't where her inspiration comes from but Gargoyles? I was not in a million years expecting that. It was the first time I such an interesting and captivating approach to these creatures and I absolutely loved it.
Layla's a half blood, half gargoyle and half demon, which is a little tricky when they are mortal enemies. It was a pleasure to learn to know her, she was such a relatable and lovable character I was rooting for her, she deserved her happy ending !!
But let's not forget the romance... I am normally not a huge fan of love triangles but ugh, Zayne and Roth made it so entertaining but of course I am rooting the brooding, dark haired, morally grey, minsunderstood demon #TeamRoth
Anyway I am writing this review years after reading the book so it's more feelings than criticism, but I'll make sure to write a proper one once I give it a re-read !
