OKAY MERYL, I SEE YOU!!!!

This was a really really fun book. I thought Elsie and Ginny were so cute and their connection was undeniable. I found Ginny a little bit of a simp at first but once I understood the plot on a bigger scale I could see where it was going and what needed to happen.

I had so much fun reading about these two, and besties to lovers PLUS dual POV/mutual pining is a new favorite trope combo. It was such a good read and I cannot wait to tell Meryl in person how much I enjoyed their book at their next signing in my city.

I cannot recommend this book enough!

Absolutely stunning debut novel!

I thought the characters were fully formed, their problems felt so real and the entire plot was very smooth. I thought Mark was a great mmc and he had a very unique POV to have, being so political. I appreciated that he acknowledged his privilege of passing, having the resources to transition how he wanted and having a lovely supportive mother.

While the actual plot of student government was not all that enticing to me, I thought the issues that Mark was fighting for, his friends and Mark's story was absolutely fantastic.

Loved Cat and Andi!!!! I thought they were so perfect. Their banter was so charming and the nerdy references made my own nerd heart sing!!!!!!

Unhinged. Bonkers. Absolutely insane.

I really really enjoyed this book. I was captivated by Jessamyn and her absolutely WILD delusions about herself, her life and her talent.

The little one liners about "crying beautifully" "can't do jazz hands with Nazis afoot" and "friends push each other into bodies of water all the time" had me cracking up.

The author did a really great job molding these characters in Jessamyn's orbit to make her even more unhinged. The ending had me on the edge of my seat and I wish I could have been in that theater to see it all!!!!

If anyone needs to discuss chapter 38 let me know lololol

Fantastic.
