Did I plan on crying hysterically throughout the last 20% of this? Nope. Did I still love every second of it? Yep. Elle is in her element when she is writing hockey romances, and this book is a perfect example of that. I LOVED being in Shane & Diana's heads. It was the perfect balance of drama & romance. Plus, I LOVE a good fake dating romance!

The Quit List by Katie Bailey

ARC - these are my own thoughts and opinions. Thanks for the ARC, Katie!

This has now gone to the top of my Katie Bailey list. It was perfection. As you may know by now, forced proximity is my favorite trope. And it's basically one bed as well?? Sold. It was so swoony & fun! I related to Holly in a deep way, and the way that Katie portrayed how it feels to be single in your late 20s/early 30s was perfect. She's also just as clumsy as me, which I also appreciated. As someone who is currently in her "do it for the plot" era, this book was perfect. Add in a tattooed MMC & I never stood a chance!

UPDATE TO ADD:
I listened to the audio ARC of this & loved it even more the second time! I. Love. Jax.

Tropes: opposites attract, dating coach, forced proximity, closed door, one bed, he takes care of her, dual pov, slow burn

Quotes:
"Her face is red and wispy hairs are stuck to her sweaty forehead and honestly...she looks prettier than I've ever seen her."
"Freefalling, indeed...but with a parachute to catch me. Safe and dangerous, all at once."

ARC from Macmillan Auido, these are my own thoughts and opinions.

This is now my favorite of Katherine's novels, it was absolutely perfect! The banter was perfect as always, and I LOVED how well she represented anxiety and grief. She took heavy subjects and transformed them in a way that we can all relate to. I wouldn't say this is an interconnected standalone, but there were cameos from other books, which I loved. I loved being in Emma's head throughout the entire thing, and especially loved the bonus chapter from Charlie's POV - it was such a great surprise! Patti Murin did a phenomenal job narrating this book as well! Emma is a very emotional character and she did a great job conveying that to the listener.

It was okay - not the best thriller I've ever read, but not the worst. I did audio & kindle with this one and I enjoyed it more after I switched to audio. I think it was the writing that threw me off. I also called a big twist pretty early on.

This was such a good ending to Magnolia & BJ's story! It was HEAVY and dealt with grief in a huge way, but Jessa did a phenomenal job showing how Magnolia handled it. She also had great mental health rep this book, which I loved. This series is so so good, and I'm sad to see Magnolia & BJ go.

I didn't think I could love this more than Butcher & Blackbird, but I was wrong. The BANTER, the tropes, the humor. I love them. In typical Brynne fashion, some food was ruined, but ya know, it was bound to happen. The audio was FANTASTIC! Make sure you read those triggers!

I found myself spacing out every once in a while in this one, but I think that is on me, not the book. This was as drama filled as always, and I loved every second of it! Just when you think Magnolia & BJ are getting their lives together, something happens

ARC, these are my own thoughts and opinions. Thanks for the ARC, ladies!

I. Love. Lex. She is perfect. I want to be her when I grow up. This book was everything I love about a South Bay Billionaire book. I love how these ladies write romance into their plot and have so much depth in their stories. They're also the queens of foreshadowing the next books, and I can't wait!! This is out NOW, add it to your TBR!

ARC from Macmillan audio, these are my own thoughts and opinions. Thank you for the ARC!

This was a really twisty and fun read! This is my first Alex Finlay book, and it did not disappoint. I did predict a small part of the ending, otherwise it would have been a 5 star read. Other than that, I don't have any complaints or notes! The full cast narration was PHENOMENAL and really made it an immersive experience. I appreciate a book with time hops that are done correctly, and this one delivered on that as well. Add this to your TBR!
