Lick Your Neighbor by Chris Genoa
5.0
This book deserved the 5* for its shear absurdity, but I gave it because it's been a long time since I belly laughed through an entire book. I won't be able to look at a turkey the same way again. This is my new favorite story of the beginning of the Thanksgiving tradition.
The Swallows by Lisa Lutz

What can I say, a well written portrayal of life in a school full of the overly privileged. 4 stars only because I am such a fan of the Spellmans and while the humor has returned, I needed just a little more, maybe one last announcement. But as you'll see, once the true darkness was revealed, there really wasn't anything to laugh about.
Raylan by Elmore Leonard
4.0
I may need to watch the show now. Elmore Leonard always has great characters, mostly lovable even when they're the bad guys. The story got a little muddled, but I blame that on being an audiobook and I may have gotten distracted while driving.
The Fishermen by Chigozie Obioma

I'm not really sure how to describe my reaction to this book. Anger seems to take center stage though. I always enjoy experiencing other cultures through the eyes of someone living it. These were dark times in this nation and it comes across in a big way.
Wintersmith by Terry Pratchett
5.0
Once again 5*s to Terry Pratchett and the fantastic narration by Stephen Briggs. This was my favorite of the series so far. Everyone should be woo'ed like the the Wintersmith woos Tiffany. I mean, all snowflakes shaped like her, all others will be a disappointment.
Blotto, Twinks and the Intimate Revue by Simon Brett

Not quite Jeeves and Wooster, but close enough to enjoy a hearty laugh. I stumbled on this book while re-shelving at the library. Once again a book chose me, and as usual, those are the books I enjoy the most. The writing was so much fun, the predicament so unique, I look forward to grabbing another in the series.
The Chestnut Man by Søren Sveistrup

Fantastic. Scandi thrillers are my absolute favorite genre. I hope there is a sequel because those two make a great duo. Probably don't want to read it if you're squeamish, but definitely read it if you are looking for a great twisty mystery.
Hellbent by Cherie Priest

What great fun. The 4 is only because I felt it got sidetracked from the original plan. But any book that gets me to chuckle out loud deserves no less than that
