I think I might have been a little too old to fully connect with Ivy, the main character. She’s only 15, but the way she talked about time made it feel like she should have been in college, which threw me off a bit. It was a little unclear at times how old she was supposed to feel versus how old she actually was.

I also found myself wanting more backstory, especially when it came to her relationship with Ally and her friendship with Rynn. I kept feeling like I was missing pieces that would have made the emotional moments hit harder. There were definitely sweet moments, and I liked the overall concept, but I just wished for a little more depth to fully connect.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

I have an insane soft spot for Lucie for so many reasons. I resonated with her more than most FMCs I've read so far this year.

Overall I think this is 4.5 stars for me because it didn't need all of those "standard" romance tropes. There was no epilogue pregnancy, no accidental pregnancy. Lucie was really just allowed to be a one kid mom for this snipit of her story without the pressure to add another to the bunch. Which.. Sick. Thanks B.K.

There was chemistry, maturity, AND depth to these characters. Flaws sure? But what love isn't a little flawed.

If you’ve read the other books in the series and thought ANYTHING of Carter Pierce, it’s true.
But then add more layers to it. Add more intrigue.
Then meet Scarlet.
Who ngl, if you enjoyed Lights Out, Scarlet’s story with The Carver really gave me LO vibes. Not the same because actual premeditated m*rder but ya know. It’s a mafia rom. Shut up. But the energy between the MCs was what felt like that.
I laughed, I kicked my little feet, I got tears on my titties and got a lot hot and bothered 💀😂

I will forever be haunted by The Sanctum and honestly, I wouldn’t have them any other way.

Thank you Lilith for another incredible ARC. BRING ON MADDS BABYYYY!

It was fine.
Then it said unexpected pregnancy and I said whomp whomp.

I'm struggling with this series now and the cliffhanger/new trope is one of my least favorite and I'm honestly concerned that this is going to be the magical thing that "fixes" the FMC.
