Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.
It’s just mediocre and bad like the other two before it. I’m not going to force myself to read bad books just because they’re popular anymore.

Okay, so here’s the thing: I didn’t hate Quicksilver. I actually kinda enjoyed it. But if I have to read about one more fated mate or a world filled with broody Fae, I might actually combust. Like, was there a checklist for “TikTok’s Favorite Romantasy Tropes”? Because this one hit them all: Fae? Check. Fated mates? Check. Brooding male with secrets? Check. Honestly, I’d have appreciated just one curveball! (Carrion, you’re excused—you were the MVP here.)
The beginning and middle were rough. Slow pacing, overly familiar tropes, and a heroine with sticky fingers (literally and metaphorically). I almost gave up, but then those last 150 pages showed up like an apology bouquet. The ending? Chef’s kiss. Enough action, intrigue, and plot movement to convince me I might stick around for book two.
The spice? Meh. Not terrible, but not memorable either.
Final thoughts: Quicksilver is fine. It’s solidly okay, but it’s also the literary equivalent of déjà vu—like I’ve read this book under 20 different titles before. If you’re still riding the Fae-fated-mates train, you’ll probably have a blast. If you’ve disembarked from that station, you might find yourself sighing a lot.
But hey, the devil’s in the details, right? And for now, I’ll let myself be tempted enough to see what happens next.
