I’m rating it 4 because I really am trying to stop aimlessly giving five stars but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t FANTASTIC.

I will say it’s hard for me to read stories that have such a limited landscape after flying in on a Fae spring court map world building fantasy slow burn love story that is ACOTAR.

The twists were really good and everything felt oddly specific which made my spine tingle. Will be reading the second in the series!

I don’t care what anyone says!!!!! So freaking good and y’all have got to stop low rating books bc the romance isn’t smutty. Where are the hand stretching pride and prejudice girls?! I think it’s been a long time since I’ve read a book in this kind of world and I’ve never read about Jinn before.

If you’re Muslim, and you know about Jinn and all that stuff let me tell you….I screeched. Ate this up in a couple days and would’ve finished it faster but didn’t want to end!

I cantttttt some of the quotes made me CRYYY.

The speed in which I read/listened to this….embarrassing. Also, ladies, IS THIS WHO WE ARE??? Get UP! Stand UP! (I say while immediately starting the next one.)

I just think this is one of the books that let the spice cloud the plot and the plot was pretty good! I think this is a 3.8-4.1 star for me.

Came back to rate it a 3/5 lol

It was so so good I mean the writing was beautiful but like some things didn’t capture me in a stunning way I felt a little down trodden a couple moments but wow.

What a way to talk about love. Like taking the stairs two at a time being an indicator of being in love is a way I never thought of expressing it but felt understandable all the same.

I thought this would be a silly goofy time and it in fact was NOT! Ufff so good, it hurt, and I would do it all over again to experience reading it for the first time.

My chest ached a lot reading this. I found myself feeling ill over the numerous times I related to hard or felt to seen.

It really reminded me what it means to separate everything and everyone from your decisions and how there’s no honor in making decisions for others, it’s not about being noble but being brave enough to say you’ll do it anyways.

It wasn’t bad at all, but it was actually such a good concept but it could’ve been executed a lot more mindfully. Lots of filler and extra characters but I think the growth in characters for Oro and Grim was great. Shes just naive as fuck.

the way I wept made no sense, I was -- unwell.
This is so beautiful and unique, it just makes me feel warm and positive. I haven't really had a book speak to me like this in a while where I'm just really grateful that I got out of my comfort zone. It was full of yearning and it was so entrenched in culture without losing me or confusing me. The audio book was a great pair to read with.

I'm only giving it four stars because I think the solution to the issue could've been different and better but it would've made this another 100+ pages.
