This was a cute romance that was an extremely easy read (I read it in a single day). Good Chemistry between the two characters that felt believable to me.

There is a super typical 3rd act conflict around non-communication that was meh for me.

Alot of the stand up just didn't come across as funny to me. So that was a bit difficult to get through, especially when it was also describing the audience dying of laughter with tears running down their faces.

Characterization wasn't great in my opinion, but the unraveling of the mystery was pretty fun.

As with many thrillers lately I felt there were just too many connections/reveals at the end. It always goes just a little too far, that it pulls me right out of the story going "Really?".

I will say there were some fun reveals that I didn't see coming, so that was nice.

Not sure about this one. So many things seemed to be overly complicated just to make the plot work. Then the ending felt like a thriller when they have far too many plot twist reveals.

I really enjoyed some of the characters though, especially Lightsong.

Well I'm certainly hooked. Crazy world building and intriguing characters.

Once I hit those last 200 or so pages I could not put the book down, and that final part of the Epilogue has me wanting to immediately pickup the next book.

I really hope Sadeas and Amaram get their comeuppances in future books

It was alright. The characters seemed pretty flat to me, and the conflicts became extremely repetitive.

Narrator was amazing though. If I had read this physically it probably would have been a DNF.

I attempted my first audiobook with this one, and my brain just was not retaining much lol. So I don't feel right rating it. I think for my next Stephen King I'll have to do either ebook or physical.

From what my brain did register there definitely seemed to be a fair amount of time spent at the beginning to introduce the characters and the setting. Alot of these characters seemed to be big time A-holes lol.

I was kind of disappointed that the single female that was somewhat promenent was one of the first ones to be turned. Then it was just a boys club.

I liked when the characters were intelligent enough to talk out plans and reason with eachother. But then there were some really dumb choices being made too, which you know realistic.
