I honestly wish I got more of Warners POV because being inside of Adams head was infuriating šŸ˜ . I really hope Juliette can see the reality of things and not allow her emotions to misguide her. Again, Kenji is such a good man. Although I am now interested in how his relationship will shift/change with Castle. I almost balled my eyes out for a second time only to be jerked in the opposite direction as soon as Adam decided to put Julliete on the back burner, I can understand why but he could have at least agreed to split up and do both at the same time. Still absolutely, 100% team Warner.

Unbelievable.. First of all, this has to be my favorite book out of the series, at least thus far. The world building flowed *chiefs kiss*. Secondly, I did not think that I was a enemies to lovers girly but I definitely am after I had to chuck the book at the freaking wall after reading page 401. At least Juliette can be honest with herself about what she is doing with her life because I honestly would probably like the book less if she lacked common morality. Ugh, my love goes out to Warner šŸ’š. And donā€™t get me started with Kenji! šŸ„ŗBoy do I have a heart for all things side character.

I wasnā€™t expecting to get Warners point of view and boy am I glad I did because I now no longer think heā€™s an arrogant fool, heā€™s just a man looking for love. I do however wish he would stand up for himself when it comes to his dad, maybe then heā€™ll earn his respect.

All I knew going into this book was that if people touch her they get hurt.. Further more I really enjoyed how we got her true and honest internal thoughts on all the situations she was going through. I found my self sometimes wishing it was dual POV  it I also enjoyed how each of the chapters flowed from Julietā€™s perspective. It definitely enhanced her rapid growth in the first book. Iā€™m so excited to see how the rest of the series goes. šŸ«¶šŸ¼šŸ©µ

3.5 āļø in actuality. I didnā€™t think I was going to enjoy youā€™d book but I thoroughly did. Thatā€™s not to say it was my favorite and I really donā€™t seeing myself rereading it, however.  I can definitely understand how people love it, I personally got a lot of good quotes out of it and can recommend it to new readers. It touched on so many good topics for a fiction book.

First things first, letā€™s all agree that Malachi deserves someone better. In the beginning I was totally thinking that Malachi was the crazy deranged one but by the end of it I now know that it was always Olivia. Malachi just wanted to be loved and at the faintest show Olivia gave to him he was obsessed with giving anything and everything he possibly could to keep her happy, even if it meant always being some little pawn of a big brother to fulfill Olivias sadistic sexual fantasies. I mean for gods sake he loves you the way he does because you were teaching him how to when he was asking you to, so sorry itā€™s not ā€œnormalā€ enough for you, Iā€™m sorry to say but you did it to yourself. To make matters worse Malachi took Olivia back after she left him kneeling in tears in a house he bought specifically for them. I enjoyed the story but I hate how easily he took her back,l WISH THIS didnā€™t have a happy ending because poor Malachi deserve better.

I felt like there was more drama than thrill from the extensive back story on both Penny and Eloise. The lost child doesnā€™t occur until about 50/60% through the book. Then the ending felt so rushed and the characters felt so problematic. Now I say this because Eloise is trying to become fresh with Penny to mend her relationship with her husband and Penny just burdens her teenage daughter with trauma that should never have to be hers. I went into this book expecting a good thriller and it was just a big flop for me on that end.
