I would give Black Girl Must Be Magic a rating of 3.5 stars. Tabby, decides to become a "single mother by choice" but encounters an unexpected situation that alters her plan. This part of the book series is plagued with numerous issues, which makes it challenging to follow and leaves too many loose ends. Tabby faces many challenges, including discrimination at work, becoming a new mom, helping her sisters cope with their father's trauma, building a relationship with Ms. Gretchen and her mom, and figuring out where she stands with Marc.

Despite the numerous issues in the story, I appreciate the development of Tabby's character. She is growing into a mature and independent woman, and I admire how she handles her relationships.

Overall, Book 1 is the stronger book in this series, and I look forward to reading the final book, Black Girls Must Have It All,

Ms. Jayne Allen wrapped up the Trilogy on a positive note. I appreciated witnessing the growth of Tabby throughout the book and was especially moved by the way she spoke encouragement and positivity into her daughter's life.
